Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington, a Greek American businesswoman and syndicated journalist, is also an author. She was co-founder of The Huffington Post, is the chief executive officer and co-founder of Thrive Global as well an author of fifteen novels. Arianna Huffington is an independent liberal news site has a TV personality author, author and an philanthropist. After moving into England from Greece at the age of 16 and obtaining an MA with a major in Economics from Cambridge University. She was the first student non-UK to serve as president of The Cambridge Union at the age 21. Her popularity as a columnist of the conservative side was confirmed after she completed her studies. When the Huffington Post was launched The Huffington Post a few months later, she launched an online voice-portal that provided critiques of the political situation. It was her celebrity that helped to attract several famous contributors who shared their thoughts on news as well as politics and culture. Arianna became famous after she made the decision in 2003 to stand as an independent candidate for the California Recall election to succeed former Governor Davis. Additionally, she was involved in an initiative in Detroit that promoted efficient vehicles that use less fuel. Forbes named her as the most influential female in the media industry in the year 2009. The newspaper was ranked as at 12th place on their list. The Guardian also included her on the top 100 list of media for 2009. In 2011, AOL Inc. bought The Huffington Post and made her president of that media unit, which comprised of many then-existing AOL products, such as Engadget AOL music Style list as well as Patch Media. She was born to a journalist and management consultant Konstantinos as well as his spouse Elli Stasinopoulos.
