Walker was born in 1976 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Walker is an American citizen of African descendance. She is her mother's daughter. Harvey Welker (a Native American father) and Julie Welker (an African-American mom). The daughter is both a Native American father as well as mother who is African American. Walker graduated from Germantown Friends School situated within Philadelphia's Germantown district in the year 1994. After that, she went to Harvard College where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1998. Welker married John Hughes in Philadelphia, who was an acclaimed marketing director. The couple have two daughters. The couple began being involved in an affair. John is husband to her, and 4 years younger than her. They decided to move their relationship to a higher stage because things were going so well. On the 4th March 2017, they were married. Philadelphia Pennsylvania hosted their wedding.
